Surgery Day(Warning: Not so pleasant photo)

So this is what Thor has on the inside little flap of his ear. It started out looking like this but whenever he itched his ear(it doesnt bother him, just a usual itch) it would start to bleed so now it is covered by a scab. Anyway, we took him into the vet a few days ago and they want to take it off to make sure that it is not cancer. They said that dogs this young usually do not get cancer but they just want to play it safe. You can kind of see it on his ear in this picture. It looks like a spot in this picture but TRUST me its not! Here is the ear after the surgery! It looks pretty nasty especially with all disinfectant on it.
He is back to himself just a little sleepy. They are going to do a biopsy on the "growth" and find out what it is.

Weekend Fun

Cedar in the summer always has a lot of fun things to do. There has been a Renaissance Fair going on in the Main Street Park since Wed. They have a lot of good food stands, and vendors selling things you never knew you needed. Some people really get into it and have jousting tournaments. It is really interetsing to see people who are so into in, and have all the attire to wear. Saturday, there was the July Jamboree. They closed off main street and had a lot of different vendors and food. July Jamboree is pretty much an exhibit where people from all over can bring their old cars and show them off. There were some classics and I'm sure it would be great if we were into cars or knew more about them. After walking around for a while to headed to Pizza Factory and ordered way too much food. We tend to do this so we have a lot of left overs and don't have to make any food for Sunday dinner!

4th of July Celebration

We had a pretty calm 4th of July. It started off with the Cedar Parade which pretty much consisted of people driving dealership cars down main street throwing candy. Only a few floats and firetrucks, but still fun. (He is not too happy with his outfit)
After the parade, we went home so JD could study! Pretty happenin 4th of July. After a few hours of studying, we headed to the pool. We got subway and had a great afternoon.
That evening, we went to Chili's and then to watch the fireworks. Whenever we go anywhere with Thor, he always steals the show. People love to pet him and most love to have him lick their faces and lips. Pretty gross, but Thor loves it!

After the fireworks, the night took a turn for the worst. After searching for the car keys for about 30 min. we found them locked in the car! We started the walk home, thankfully it was only a mile away, once we got back to our complex, we had to look to find someone who was still awake because our house key was also locked in the car. This also happened to be one of the very few times neither of us had our cells phones! Finally about 1130 and after knocking on a few doors someone finally answered! We borrowed their cell phone and called the maintenance guy who does not live in the complex but about 10 miles outside of Cedar. He arrived about 20 minutes later with a key to let us in! Needless to say, an eventful evening.

JD trying to catch some zzz's while we waited for the maintenance guy.
