This year for Thanksgiving we went home to CO. I love to go home, but it makes coming back to school so hard. We had so much fun. To start off the break, we left Tuesday afternoon and drove to Glenwood Springs where we stayed the night. We ate a really good mexican restaurant, and then went to the Hot Springs. It was so relaxing.
It was hard to get a good picture, but you get the idea.
The next morning we continued the drive. Mom, Missy, Anne, Leah, and Sarah were there to greet us when we got there.
Thor's favorite toy, he could spend hours playing on it.
After a few hours a chatting, we headed to Twilight! It was just as good the second time. For dinner we went to one of my favorite chinese places. Thursday was the big T-Day. We started the day off with a Turkey Trot with some of the fam, and some of our neighbors.
The plan was to walk to McDonalds, but when we got there, it was closed. Who knew McDonalds ever closed?
The first Annual Forest Park/family Turkey Trot!
Instead of McDonald's, we went to Caribou Coffee.
Missy had Thanksgiving at her house this year, so later that afternoon we headed over. They made a wonderful turkey, and we had way too much to eat.
My cute sisters,
All the girls,
They are the best!
Some of the gang,
JD and Fritz,
Jim, Sarah, and I. Friday we got up and did a little shopping. Chris, Kacey and their kids came down to hang out.
Later that night, everyone met in Downtown Littleton to do the candle light walk, and see Santa come down Main Street.
Friday night, Dave Carrie, and Brig spent the night so it was fun to hang out and chat with them. Plus it was even better to see little Brig. He has changed a lot since this summer.
Saturday night, we got together one last time and met at Costa Vida!
The drive home was not nearly as much fun. We left when it was a snow storm, and barely made it through the mountains before they closed that part of I-70.
Once we made it past Vail, the weather was perfect, and the rest of the drive was not too bad. It is so much fun to be home and around family. The holidays are so fun, and I can't wait until christmas when we get to spend time with both of our families!
